The aim of the Chair is to contribute to further improving the attractiveness of casting processes in terms of their technical performance and sustainability by integrating various fields of research. We deal with the interconnection of various aspects of production engineering, materials science, computer science, and mathematics in the context of foundry technology. As part of our research activities, we are constantly expanding our expertise at these interfaces and imparting fundamental and newly acquired knowledge in theory and practice.
