Teaching Philosophy

The chair offers students an engineering education in the field of casting technology that is equally well-founded in theory and practice. At the same time, a broad engineering applicability of the acquired knowledge and the taught tools is emphasized in the knowledge transfer. For example, the CFD software used can be used to model other fluid processes. There are laboratory courses which allow the basic knowledge taught to be applied and deepened in practice. The unity of research and teaching results in a variety of current research topics at the chair, in the processing of which students can participate in the form of student work and also establish contacts with industry.
